Food inspired by the soul

Chef "Mimi" Myesha

I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in 2013 with my Bachelors in Culinary Arts. Since then I have worked In restaurants, Hotels, schools, grocery stores, and in catering. My passion for food came to me more as a calling rather than something that I've been interested in since I was a little girl. Once I turned 18 certain circumstances lead me to have to become more independent and learn how to fend for myself. I really didn't know how to cook anything that was more complex than a bowl of spaghetti. So, this made me want to learn more about cooking and I wanted to learn how to make different things. As I began to learn how to cook different things, I really got a sense of joy out of it and this made me want to know even more, and I grew hungry for knowledge about cooking. I was watching the food channel, looking up recipes on the internet and even reading different food magazines. It literally became an obsession! I then, started thinking about cooking not only for myself, but for people and doing it everyday as my career choice. Before I knew it, I had enrolled myself into culinary and I haven't looked back since. I can truly say "I love what I do" and that alone satifies my soul!

My love for cooking came from when I was little girl, watching my grandmother cook. I was always in the kithen with her trying to help anyway I could. This eventually lead to a full blown passion for cooking and food in general. I began to experiment with different foods just to see what they would taste like. Experimenting  with all these food just made that flame inside of me grow. Now I'm attending culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu for mym associates degree in culinary arts. Once I finish that degree, I plan to go back to receive and degree in pastry and baking as well.
